Blogging Bites #24 - Seasonal triangle

Blogging Bites #24

Good morning, Reader!

Tomorrow marks the first day of September AKA pumpkin season!! ๐ŸŽƒ Are you ready for it? And by "ready", I mean, have you updated your seasonal triangle??

I first learned about the seasonal triangle from Casey Markee. He taught me that your menu, homepage, and sidebar should continuously be updated with seasonal content - especially around Q4. If you want to hear more about it, check out this webinar.

Showing popular seasonal content front and center makes it easily accessible to your readers. Having it reinforced in your menu, homepage, and sidebar gives that content a little extra boost during its peak!

I have category pages for the major seasons so I can easily swap them out in my menu. Then, I like to use the Feast FSRI blocks with post IDs to show my most popular recipes on my homepage and sidebar.

I'll be updating the seasonal triangle again with holiday recipes when we get closer to Thanksgiving ๐Ÿ˜‰

Happy blogging!
