Feast Modern Categories Walkthrough

Blogging Bites #55

Hey Reader!

We have a lottt to talk about these days, and it looks like Feast's Modern Categories is something you're eager to learn about!

I shared a poll on Instagram the other day and while it was a close race, Feast ended up pulling ahead! (I promise it wasn't rigged - Feast didn't vote or pay me to do this 😂)

I'll cover the WPRM popup modal and Hubbub in future newsletters, but today I'll be walking you through Feast's Modern Categories 🎉

I believe this feature was released in December so it's still pretty new in my book (read as: if you haven't set them up yet, don't feel like you're behind!) I myself have only set up 3 so far, so I appreciate this push to get another one done ðŸĪŠ

Okay so what is the Modern Categories feature?

It's a way to customize your category pages using the block editor, instead of just having an intro paragraph + all the recipes listed out.

It lets you add headings, FSRI blocks, etc. so you can organize your recipes within your category and make the page more user-friendly!

You can go from something like this...

...to this! 🊄

And I'm going to walk you through it step-by-step as I build out my Summer category page with it! ⮇ïļ

Feast has a bunch of new patterns you can use to spruce up your pages as well! I covered a few of them in this newsletter if you want to check it out.

Send me your category pages after you set them up - I want to see how they look!! 😃

Happy blogging!

-Kayla
