Last week's newsletter was a bit moody, so this week we're lightening things up with a fun little Chrome feature! ð
One thing about my partner Chris is that he loves systems and shortcuts. Like one day I slapped a whiteboard up in our kitchen to keep track of our dog's meals and his response was, "nice, I love systems!!" And if I ever tell him he does something that annoys me, he says he'll "add it to the SOP" ð (no, he doesn't actually have SOPs for us...at least I don't think he does ð)
Anyway, the other day he was playing around with computer shortcuts and discovered that you can set up site search shortcuts for websites, including our blogs!
Basically you type the website's shortcut into your browser's search bar, hit tab, and then search what you want to find within the website!

Maybe it'll make your life easier and speed up your workflows...and maybe, just maybe if you share it with your audience they'll set it up and search your site before they refer to Google (okay I know that's a stretch but a girl can dream ðĪŠ)!
Here's how you can set it up! âŽïļ
Go into your Chrome browser settings and select Search engine â Manage search engines and site search.
Under Site search, click Add.
Then go to your website (or whatever site you want to set up a shortcut for). Search for something and then copy the URL.
Now go back into the Site search settings and fill out the Name, Shortcut, and URL:
Name: Whatever you want to call the shortcut
âShortcut: Whatever you want to type into the search bar to do a search
âURL: Paste the URL you copied, but replace the search term with %s
Now anytime I want to search something on my blog, I can just type "bobco" into the browser's search bar, hit tab, and then type my query and hit enter!
